NCS Calibrated Standards are produced to the highest NCS Quality Level and are the only accepted reference for high level requirements such as colour matching, control and production and in the event of any complaints. NCS Standards are produced to order within two to three weeks.


All 1,950 NCS Calibrated Standard A6 Sheets can be supplied individually (allow 2-3 weeks for delivery).

Specifications:
Pigments used:
Pigments of the same colour index as used in the NCS Primary Standard.
Colour deviation:
Delta E <0.5 from the NCS Primary Standard in D65, (mean value for 1995 edition Delta E =0.25). 95% Delta E <0.5 in TL 84 and in A.
Measurement instrument:
Zeiss DMC 25.
Gloss:
Measured in 60°, 15-20 units (small deviations may occur and will be published).
Each sheet is marked with:
a. Month and year of checking. Sheets are normally control measured on receipt of order (valid period: two years).
b. Delta E deviation from NCS Primary Standard.
c. Deviation from NCS Primary Standard in NCS blackness, chromaticness and hue.
d. CIELAB values.
Visual inspections:
In addition to these tolerances, visual inspections will be performed in order to avoid problems arising from limitations of the instrumental measurements.
