The NCS Block Brilliant arranges the 1750 high gloss NCS Sheets into colour areas to make colour specification even easier. The small blocks are comfortably held in the hand and fanned out in order to isolate colours for edge to edge comparison. The Block set is arranged by hue and has one block for Yellow, one for Yellow-Red, one for Red, etc.

The NCS Block Brilliant has a gloss level of about 85 units compared to 15-20 units for the main NCS products. Two surfaces with the same colour but different gloss levels can look quite different and these differences in visual impression can cause problems. The NCS Block Brilliant enables more accurate specification and assessment of appearance.

When specifying NCS Brilliant colours a GL should be used after the colour notation.
